She Works on the Nervous System. Mine Included.

A spotlight on Peaceful Hands Wellness in Green Creek, NC

I'll be upfront: I almost didn't write this one.

Not because Leanne Peace isn't worth writing about. She absolutely is. But she's also my person — my bodyworker, my Reiki practitioner, the one I call when my nervous system has had enough — and spotlighting her means my appointment window just got a lot narrower.

But that's the whole point of Mill Spring Monday. You share the good stuff, even when it costs you something.

What Peaceful Hands Wellness Actually Is

Peaceful Hands Wellness is a woman-centered bodywork practice located in a private studio in the foothills of Green Creek, NC. Leanne Peace is an Esalen massage therapist, Reiki Master, and former birth and postpartum doula. She is trauma-informed, deeply experienced, and genuinely passionate about the work she does.

Her practice is built around supporting women through the many transitions life brings — and there are more of those than we usually talk about. Pregnancy. Birth. The postpartum fog. The shifting terrain of perimenopause and menopause. The grief, the joy, the stress that gets lodged somewhere in your shoulders and never quite leaves.

Leanne works with all of it.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, she understands that the body holds what the mind tries to move past. Her sessions aren't just about physical tension — they're about creating space for the nervous system to actually exhale. That's rarer than it sounds.

What You'll Find at the Studio

Beyond her bodywork and energy work sessions, Leanne is now offering handmade herbal products right at the studio:

  • Herbal muscle salves

  • Arnica oil

  • Magnesium sprays

  • Infused castor oil

  • Sun's Eye metaphysical essential oils and sprays

She's also selling locally sourced eggs and raw honey. So you might walk in for a massage and walk out with a jar of honey and a muscle salve. Honestly, worse things have happened.

Who She's For

Leanne primarily serves women, and her specialties include:

  • Prenatal care and birth support

  • Postpartum recovery

  • Perimenopause and menopause transitions

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Trauma-informed bodywork and Reiki

If you've been putting off taking care of yourself because life is busy and your needs keep ending up at the bottom of the list — this is the place.
