Mill Spring Monday: Martha's Amish Bakery

There are places you visit once and places you keep coming back to. Martha's Amish Bakery in Columbus is the second kind.

This mother-daughter bakery has been doing things the old way since 2014 — from scratch, with care, no shortcuts. Fresh-baked breads, cinnamon rolls the size of your face, breakfast and lunch sandwiches on house-made bread or bagels, and rotating daily baked goods that will absolutely ruin you for grocery store versions.

But here's the thing about Saturdays: the donuts. Show up early or don't show up at all — they sell out, and they should, because they are that good.

And it's not just a bakery. Martha's also carries bulk foods, baking supplies, spices, canned goods, and local products. It's the kind of stop where you come in for a cinnamon roll and leave with a full bag of groceries you didn't know you needed.
