Mill Spring Monday: White Oak Custom Cut

This week's spotlight stays close to home — literally. White Oak Custom Cut is a family-owned processor and butcher shop right here on Hwy 108 in Mill Spring.

They opened in September 2023 as a custom exempt livestock and wildgame processor, filling a need a lot of our rural community relies on. In February 2025, they added a full butcher and retail shop — fresh and frozen meats, no hormones, no antibiotics, plus eggs, dairy, and local goods.

If you raise your own food or just want quality meat from people who actually know where it came from, this is your spot. I'm already planning a stop for some of my favorite Ashe County cheese.
